Name: Nicole Giurgiu



Nicole Giurgiu dancer and choreographer living in Bucharest Romania. Born in Newcastle Upon Tyne England, she began her dance journey as an artist at the age of 3 attending the Elaine Milbourne Performing Arts School before moving to Paphos Cyprus at the age of 9 where she trained at Klea Pitsilidou School of Ballet and Studio 6 School of Dance. Her training focused on Classical Ballet,Jazz,Modern,Contemporary,Tap,Musical Theater,HipHop and contact improvisation. She was also a member of the Stage 1 theater company taking the lead roles in many productions. Nicole furthered her training at Hyde Clarendon college and Northern School of Contemporary Dance in the UK.
During her time there she was giving multiple most promising choreographer awards and her work was featured in various semesters of dance company shows,galas,music videos and her own screen dance films. She has had the opportunity to dance alongside The Hoffesh Shecter Company, Bryan Tanaka,Bobby Newberry. Nicoles choreography encourages dancers to take risks both physically and emotionally to further develop their individual style, let go of expectations to be their own voice. Her choreography guides dancers to physically and mentally unlock the bodies full spectrum of movement and experiences.Nicole has most recently worked with Y.O.U Contemporary Ballet Pre-Professional Dancers on a improvisation workshop called ‘ Silence is one of the great arts of conversation’.
